The Content Specialist reports directly to the Marketing Manager and assists with a wide variety of marketing and communication projects, including. but not limited to social media posts, print and digital ad creation, email campaigns, miscellaneous graphic design, and literature creation and editing. Working with the Marketing Manager, other internal departments, and a network of external vendors, the Content Specialist will help create, edit, and manage content that is shared internally within the organization as well as with Sodick’s external audiences.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
- Create graphics for social media posts, sales literature and advertisements.
- Craft engaging written content across channels, including press releases, newsletters, blogs and email campaigns
- Proofread and edit content for social media posts, websites, sale literature, etc.
- Manage Marketing Dashboard (Trello), keeping track of on-going projects and deadlines
- Support Sales with custom promotion materials
- Capture and maintain product data, images, and videos.
- Editing long form videos in Adobe Premiere Pro and curating new video content in short form for social media distribution in 9:16 aspect ratio.
- Social Media Management – Proofread scheduled social media posts from external vendors while curating posts across Linked In, Instagram, Facebook, You Tube, and Tik Tok
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Canva
- Strong writing skills with the ability to translate technical content for Sodick’s target market
- Ability to utilize social media sites such as Linked In, You Tube, Facebook, and Tik Tok
- Ability to handle several projects simultaneously in a dynamic, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
- Solid knowledge of and proven skills in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Self-starter; ability to anticipate next steps; prioritize projects and adjust accordingly with business needs
- Ability to take responsibility for a diverse number of projects and provide status updates along with pain points
- Photography and Videography skills are a plus
