Senior Architectural Project Designer

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $/yr

As a Sr. Architectural Project Designer, you will initiate and oversee a subset of Trileaf’s architectural and MEP projects from conception to completion, leveraging your experience in field conditions, building materials, specifications, construction techniques, building codes, and permitting to successfully execute Construction Documents.

• Conduct initial project overview to identify potential design intent and site condition issues.
• Schedule kickoff meetings with the Architect of Record and propose solutions.
• Complete background drawings and coordinate with internal MEP department, holding the MEP department accountable to timelines.
• Produce full set of Architectural Construction Documents within 10‑15 business days.
• Perform self‑QA/QC to identify and resolve errors.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Engage clients diplomatically to discuss costs and benefits of decisions.
• Provide periodic status updates to clients (typically once per week).
• Perform permitting assistance: fill out permit applications, submit construction documents to jurisdiction, coordinate plan review fees, follow up with jurisdiction for updates, work through redlines or demonstrations, and submit AHJ‑stamped documents to client.

• 3+ years of experience completing Construction Documents, with preference for retail, convenience stores, and/or restaurants.
• Intermediate knowledge of Building Codes, including Accessibility Compliance.
• Strong drafting ability in AutoCAD; REvit a plus.
• AIA/NCARB registration desired but not required.

BA/BS in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field with 5+ years of experience in CD development.
