We are seeking a Big Data + Azure Architect for a position in Schaumburg, IL.
The successful candidate will be a Big Data Architect with Azure implementation experience, hands-on with Hive, Pig, and Spark (Scala), and able to run pilots and proof of concepts for customers.
- Assist customers in defining ingestion strategies and reusable frameworks to be built.
- Lead a small team (onsite/offshore) for executing data provisioning, including mainframe sources, RDBMS, flat files, etc.
- Handle evolving schemas.
- Sound knowledge of RDBMS data modeling, SQL, data warehouse, BI, and ETL tools.
- Hands-on knowledge of Big Data technologies: HDFS, Hive, HBase, SPARK, Oozie, Sqoop, Pig.
- Some knowledge of No
SQL databases, including OLAP, Graph, Key-Value, Object, XML, JSON, SQL, No
SQL, Tuple Store, Columnar, and in-memory. - Good knowledge of Unix/Linux.
