Position SummaryThe Facility Operations Assistant Manager is a full-time position that assists the Facility Operations Manager in delivering clean and functioning facilities while providing excellent customer service. Duties include maintaining club space, training team members, and serving as managerial support when the Manager is absent. This role works the opposite schedule of the Facility Operations Manager and requires flexibility to meet business needs.
Job Duties And Responsibilities- Assists staff in maintaining locker rooms, fitness floors, common areas, and amenities
- Responds to member feedback with urgency and provides follow‑up communication with solutions
- Assists the manager with monthly and annual budget recommendations
- Provides ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and continuous feedback to team members
- Serves on the club Safety Committee to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Participates in recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department
- Attends weekly department head, Operations department, and "all club" meetings
- Builds positive relationships with members while gathering feedback
- Coordinates and creates Operations staff schedules
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO)
- Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule
- Health and fitness operations experience
- College degree in business, hospitality, or related field
- Experience with building operations
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $23.50 and paying up to $31.75, based on experience and qualifications.
