Entry Level Food Science Technologist – Food Manufacturer

A global food manufacturing company is looking for a motivated Entry Level Food Technologist in the Schaumburg, IL area. The ideal candidate would have 0‑2 years of experience in product development, quality control/assurance in food industries.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with lab sample preparation and formula adjustments
• Conduct basic laboratory analysis and prepare documents for external testing
• Research and evaluate new ingredients; maintain ingredient records and stock levels
• Receive and manage COAs from factories and labs
• Perform sensory evaluations of retain samples
• Support factory audits, on‑site production tests, and lab equipment calibration
• Maintain retain sample storage and equipment records
• Prepare and organize technical documents
• Communicate with suppliers and factories to gather technical information
• Respond to customer inquiries with researched technical support
• Perform general administrative duties: document filing, shipping coordination, office upkeep, and guest reception

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Biology, or Nutrition
• 0–2 years of experience in product development, QA/QC, or food manufacturing
• Basic lab skills and familiarity with equipment (pH meter, viscometer, etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  PowerPoint and Access a plus
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• This position will not support visa sponsor ships
• This position involves manufacturing and warehousing work environment, including intermittent sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, intermittent lifting in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climbing stairs, manual handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending at the waist, talking and hearing, and use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
