Position: CNC Lathe Programming/Machinist

Location:

Schaumburg, IL until November, then move to Huntley, IL.

• Familiar with general lathe machine operation and mechanical skills.
• Mechanical problem‑solving ability and troubleshooting skills a must.
• Ability to read a tape measure, verify dimensions, use a straightedge and other measuring devices.
• Knowledge of machine drawings, fit and tolerances.
• Ability to operate lifting devices.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Communicate both written and oral as it relates to the job.
• Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing for demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
• Lift and handle components weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Work with others, as some tasks require two individuals.
• Work without constant supervision.

• Read programs and do programming using Gibbs when needed.
• Operate CNC lathe in the machining of components.
• Measure work pieces and verify dimensions using appropriate tools.
• Familiar with boring, drilling, reaming, threading and tapping operations.
• Familiar with the preparation of tools for machining.
