What You’ll Do

The Lead CVT trains, mentors, and supports our incredible tech team. You’ll coordinate patient care, assist veterinarians, ensure smooth overnight operations, and jump into the action as a hands‑on technician. Think of it as being both the leader of the pack and the one keeping the pack running smoothly.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain and uphold Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP.
  • Perform all functions related to Licensed Veterinary Technician job description.
  • Work alongside the Inventory Manager to purchase pharmaceutical supplies and medications, including the maintenance of controlled substance and surgery logs.
  • Maintain inventory and maintenance of pharmaceuticals, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain knowledge of preventative healthcare recommendations to answer client questions, provide education on vaccines, flea, and heartworm products, and assist in marketing veterinary services such as dental cleaning, senior wellness, spay and neuter, and boarding.
  • Educate clients and team members on products and medications sold including dietary products.
  • Assist in all aspects of hospital performance, which includes answering phones, scheduling appointments, client call backs, prescription requests, etc.
  • Ensure the hospital and its team members are compliant with federal and state animal health laws and regulations including OSHA, Radiation, state board requirements and DEA.
  • Follow and enforce hospital policies set forth by the Practice Manager and Medical Lead.
  • Train and assist the veterinary support staff in their performance of a variety of technical and client education duties.
