Lead Security Officer

Premier Security is a regionally recognized contract security service firm that provides the highest quality customized security programs to world-class commercial, residential and retail properties.

Premier Security has relationships with over 35 clients and close to 400 employees. Our specialty is the Chicago and Suburban market, which allows us to provide a close relationship versus global service providers.

• Must be able to walk, stand and climb stairs without reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to communicate with the client representative and/or his or her designee on a daily basis
• Must be able to do various patrols including, but not limited to, interior, exterior, and garage patrols in inclement weather
• Must be able to write clear, concise and detailed incident reports
• Deter and report unauthorized personnel or vehicular entry into the museum
• Inform visitors and staff of building policies and enforce them appropriately
• Report to a Security Supervisor and assist with documenting any incident related to visitors or staff
• Identify safety hazards, suspicious behavior and potential problems and report to a Security Supervisor
• Assist with emergency evacuations
• Provide intrusion and fire alarm monitoring and response
• Assist with scheduling
• Ensure new employees assigned to the shift are trained appropriately and all related documentation is completed
• Ensure shift schedules are managed aggressively to control overtime and ensure proper contract coverage

• Must evidence have customer service skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Basic 20 hour Security Training Certification (or willing to obtain)
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 20 years of age
• Has valid PERC card (or willing to obtain)
