** Position Summary*
* The Part-Time Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting basic financial and administrative activities by accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining organized records, and assisting with routine accounting functions. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to develop accounting and bookkeeping skills while contributing to the smooth operation of the organization's financial processes.
** Essential Responsibilities*
* + Enter financial transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets.
+ Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documents.
+ Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
+ Process invoices and track payments.
+ Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
+ Assist with preparing routine financial reports.
+ Organize receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
+ Support payroll preparation by maintaining employee and payroll records.
+ Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
+ Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
+ Perform general administrative duties related to financial recordkeeping.
+ Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
** Qualifications*
* + Quickbooks experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
+ Previous office, administrative, customer service, or bookkeeping experience is a plus but not required.
+ Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles preferred.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
+ Ability to learn accounting software and financial systems.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Good organizational and time-management skills.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
* + Basic mathematical and data entry skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Willingness to learn and develop bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
+ Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
** Physical Requirements*
* + Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
+ Ability to occasionally lift and carry files or office materials up to 15 pounds.
This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping and accounting while supporting the financial operations of the organization.
** Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
