Jimerson Birr is seeking a Litigation Team Leader who excels in dynamic environments, moves quickly, and takes command of both strategy and execution. This role blends high‑impact commercial litigation work with leadership of a small, high‑performing team.
You’ll drive outcomes, steer decision‑making, delegate confidently, and maintain momentum across multiple fast‑moving matters.

You’ll guide the team, shape strategy, and jump into key advocacy moments while ensuring smooth, disciplined execution across all work streams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead weekly team meetings, assessing scorecards, staffing, case mix, SLA health, projects, and issues; ensuring the team stays aligned, focused, and on‑plan.
- Distribute work decisively and intelligently, keeping throughput high and maintaining clarity on priorities.
- Reinforce discipline in process execution by ensuring matter plans, templates, and technology are consistently adopted.
- Coach attorneys and paralegals, offering direction, feedback, and persuasive guidance that moves the team toward results.
- Own client relationships for all matters touched by your team. This includes driving satisfaction, retention, and opportunities for expanded engagement.
- Maintain a selective litigation docket, stepping in where your strategic or advocacy presence will have maximum impact.
- Respond quickly as issues arise, keeping matters in motion and eliminating bottlenecks before they slow progress.
- JD + active Florida Bar
- 7–10+ years of litigation experience, with demonstrated leadership, judgment, and ability to direct others
- Strong record in hearings, depositions, negotiations, and strategy execution
- Ability to communicate persuasively and drive alignment around decisions
- Comfort managing multiple moving parts at once and making fast, informed decisions
- Proven ability to enforce standards, elevate team performance, and maintain forward momentum
- First‑chair trial experience
- Experience in complex commercial, class action, consumer, or eminent domain litigation
- Prior leadership or player‑coach experience
