Head Teacher‑Toddler Classroom (18 months–3 years)

We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and engaging Head Toddler Teacher to lead a classroom of children ages 18 months to 3 years. This role is responsible for creating a safe, responsive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports children’s social‑emotional growth, independence, and early learning. The ideal candidate is patient, emotionally aware, and confident in guiding toddler behavior using positive, respectful strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily routines.
  • Foster a warm, responsive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support children’s social‑emotional development and self‑regulation.
  • Use positive guidance strategies to manage behavior and conflict.
  • Ensure active supervision and maintain a safe classroom at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and leadership to maintain a cohesive team environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space.
  • Complete required documentation and observations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
  • Experience working with toddlers (18 months–3 years) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation & Schedule
  • Hourly rate based on education and experience.
  • Full‑time position (hours to be discussed).
  • Salary: $20 – $24 hourly.

    Monday–Friday.
