OSP Engineer Details
Location: Schenectady, NY
Work Setup: Hybrid (in office Wednesday and Thursday)

OSP Engineer Responsibilities

• Engineer routine outside plant (OSP) work orders related to utility pole design and modifications

• Manage multiple OSP projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met

• Provide field support to outside plant crews and resolve design or implementation issues

• Conduct field surveys of existing utility poles and accurately identify all attached facilities

• Develop and review design documentation using computer drafting systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support telecommunications infrastructure projects

OSP Engineer Qualifications

• Strong experience with telecommunications outside plant (OSP) design

• Solid understanding of utility pole design and construction standards

• Proficiency with computer drafting systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to perform detailed field surveys and infrastructure assessments

OSP Engineer Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as an OSP or design engineer

• Familiarity with Telecommunication systems and processes

• Knowledge of NESC (National Electrical Safety Code)

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
