Sales & Field Testing Manager – Cement Additives

Company Overview

Ascendo Resources is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the cement additives industry to identify a Sales & Field Testing Manager
. This is a fully remote role
, requiring regular travel to client sites throughout the U.S. Candidates must live near a major airport to accommodate travel needs.

This role bridges technical expertise and commercial engagement
—approximately 60–70% technical and 30–40% sales
—supporting cement producers in optimizing production efficiency through advanced additive technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit cement plants regularly to build and maintain strong relationships within the cement industry.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Cement Additives and Technical Service teams.
• Conduct and oversee on-site field trials; provide technical feedback and product optimization recommendations.
• Partner with R&D to suggest, test, and refine new product developments.
• Work jointly with commercial teams to understand customer requirements, adjust formulations, and pursue new business opportunities.
• Gather market intelligence and track competitor activities to identify trends and support strategic initiatives.
• Maintain and update a competitor product database to assist in commercial growth.
• Manage the customer complaint process to ensure timely, high-quality resolutions and satisfaction.
• Deliver value-added services such as technical presentations, seminars, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Serve as the primary technical expert to customers, representing Ascendo Resources in technical proposals and product demonstrations.
• Promote and maintain a strong commitment to safety across all field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the cement industry
  , preferably in lab, production, or manufacturing settings
• Strong technical aptitude and practical field experience
• Proven ability to build and manage customer relationships in a technical sales environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and self-management skills
• Willingness to travel frequently (approximately twice monthly)
• Must reside near a major U.S. airport
