Position Overview
ACRT, Inc. is hiring a Transmission Work Planner. This role is full‑time and regular, located in Muskogee, Oklahoma (and adjacent areas). Applicants should have a background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or a related discipline and experience in these fields and the line of work.
Responsibilities- Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
- Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews.
- Discuss and negotiate line‑clearance crew access issues.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client utilities.
- Focus on post‑inspection QA of tree work completed by tree contractors with Oklahoma Gas and Electric throughout Oklahoma.
- Participate in weekend on‑call schedule once trained.
- Manage a geographical area for all vegetation‑related activities, work independently, and coordinate with stakeholders, utility customers, and line‑clearance vendors.
- Work with varied terrain and inclement weather, including evenings, nights, weekends, and overnight travel within Oklahoma.
- Hike lengthy periods as required to access lines across the state.
- Minimum 2‑ or 4‑year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or a closely related field, OR 2 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or related field (e.g., right‑of‑way management, integrated vegetation management, nursery work, timber cutting).
- Vegetation management experience preferred.
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required.
- Self‑motivated, organized, production‑oriented.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a geographical area.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $27.50 per hour, based on certifications and experience.
