Generator Mechanical Engineer

Job Title

5-8 years of experience in an engineering role.

Knowledge of power generation generators.

Familiar with PLM.

Familiar with client generator bill of materials is desired.

Assist in engineering qualification of stator bars and H35 generator with supplier.

Assist in qualification of H53 generator with supplier.

Support H65 dual source qualifications for punchings.

Create test plans, implement the test plan and documentation.

Support qualification of outsourced generators.

Work with internal teams on interfaces and meeting technical requirements.

Track weekly Mfg progress at suppliers and respond to SDRs and update drawings/BOMs as necessary.

Create BOMs.

Complete PLM assigned tasks.

Support Mfg and sourcing in industrialization projects and top 20 generator projects as well as qualification efforts to improve producibility.

Respond to SDRs.

Fluent in English is required.

Documentation

Fluency in German desired.

Experienced with Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point

Experience working in an independent and highly matrixed environment, coordinating across multiple sites, functions, and time zones, with simultaneous projects. Takes initiative and quickly raises issues for help

Masters or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
