Generator And Electrical Systems Support
Generator and Electrical Systems support team for generator flange to flange requisition and fleet support activities and deliverables.
Support drawing and BOM updates for armature components and assembly design.
Interface with Generator manufacturing and sourcing to assist in Non-Conformance Requests (NCRs) and Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs).
Perform updates to design documentation and instructions, as needed.
Develop mechanical solutions, including design calculations, to meet stator armature product and service needs.
In conjunction with non-Metallics lab, develop mechanical, and testing plans for stator components and assemblies and oversee or perform actual tests as needed. Interpret test results and recommend appropriate actions.
Work on RCA investigations for performance and warranty issues on generator stator components.
Navigate component and assembly drawings and identify parts in a bill of material (BOM).
Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Deliverables packages shall be in accordance with applicable design standards and design practices. Requirement and skills:
Armature and Winding design
Electrical systems
Electrical testing, troubleshooting, equipment knowledge
Safety procedures, Regulatory knowledge
Materials and Manufacturing processes Desire characteristics:
Experienced with Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point
Experience working in an independent and highly matrixed environment, coordinating across multiple sites, functions. Takes initiative and quickly raises issues for help
Strong bias for action; mechanically minded; high energy. Demonstrated high organizational skills, enjoys structured, transactional, process-oriented work
Strong team player, excellent interpersonal skills; verbal, written communication skills, and presentation skills knowing when to use more technical detail and when to summarize; ability to work with fellow engineers as well as leaders at customer
Solid analytical competencies, ability to troubleshoot quickly and on-the-fly, especially at customer locations
Education:
Masters or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering
