Our client, a large Life & Annuity company, needs a subject matter expert in the end-to-end bank loan lifecycle to document, and optimize their end-to-end bank loan process from a finance and accounting standpoint. The environment has limited documentation and high reliance on one key individual; this role will formalize process, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has deep experience across the primary and/or secondary bank loan process, including hands-on experience with Clear Par as a system of record.
This is a hands-on process optimization / execution-focused engagement.
This is a remote, W2 hourly interim position with Korn Ferry's client and will require working East Coast hours.
Core Objectives- Document the end-to-end bank loan lifecycle (origination through settlement and ongoing servicing)
- Design and implement controls, accounting alignment, and governance SOPs
- Identify and execute on operational efficiency opportunities
- Reduce key-person risk and increase scalability
- Map the full bank loan lifecycle (front, middle, back office)
- Identify gaps, workarounds, and undocumented dependencies
- Develop formal process documentation and operating playbooks
- Create role clarity and RACI alignment
- Assess current-state controls (preventative and detective)
- Align operational workflows with accounting requirements
- Develop and formalize SOPs and escalation protocols
- Ensure Clear Par usage aligns with policy and regulatory standards
- Evaluate handoffs, redundancies, bottlenecks
- Optimize workflows within Clear Par
- Recommend automation or integration enhancements
- Improve reporting and transparency
- 8-15+ years in bank loan operations (institutional setting)
- Deep knowledge of the end-to-end loan trade lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with Clear Par
- Strong understanding of loan accounting, settlements, and controls
- Experience documenting and formalizing poorly defined processes
- Ability to work independently in environments lacking structure
