Position Description

Position Title: Global Operations Manager

Reports to: Vice President & COO, Operations & Development

Location: United States, Greater Pittsburgh Region

Work Schedule: Remote with travel

The Global Operations Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of business operations. This role oversees multiple departments, aligns operational strategies with organizational goals, and drives process improvements to maximize business performance. The Global Operations Manager partners with executive leadership to deliver measurable results in productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, and compliance.

Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support the company’s mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
  • Oversee multi-department operations and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team for organizational growth and efficiency.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and best practice methodologies.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Implement automation, digital tools, and process re-engineering to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize budgets, operational costs, and resource allocation across functions.
  • Partner with finance to develop forecasts, cost-reduction strategies, and ROI-driven investments.
  • Oversee vendor and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture based on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Build succession plans and leadership pipelines to ensure organizational sustainability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, HR, IT, and Finance to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Act as a key liaison between executive leadership and operational teams.
  • Support new business initiatives, market expansion, and client success programs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee risk management, quality assurance, and business continuity planning.
  • Lead audits, compliance reviews, and operational policy development.

Supervisory Responsibility

Directly oversees Manufacturing Operations which includes Shipping/Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Assembly, , Purchasing, and Industrial Engineering across c3controls’ global facilities.

  • Hires and trains new employees.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and separation of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-department operations in a complex business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of operational best practices, financial management, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with strong decision-making ability.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent are an advantage.
Preferred Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • M.B.A.
  • Extensive experience in supply chain management, with a focus on global supply chains and infrastructure
Travel

Travel domestically and internationally; typically, 3-5 days per quarter.
