Process Technician
The Process Technician is responsible for basic machine operation within the manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Be able to operate gantry robots (ET, TW, U4).
- Cut and test NOLs
- Operation of basic power tools (saws, drills, etc.)
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance process on machines
- Operate the parts saw
- Operate the extractor
- Consistently, completely, and competently fill out paperwork
- Basic FPM and FPS operation
- Basic part programming
- Be able to locate and follow OP's, OI's, and training procedures
- Be able to start a NCR and take it to the 5 Whys
- Consistently and accurately set the heated roller ADF, and install and align torches and thermocouples
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and less than 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience Basic FPM and FPS operation with 5S and Lean Manufacturing a plus.
- Must have an excellent mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and work ethic
- Must be reliable
- Must work safely
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in English; both written and verbal
- Read common measuring devices including but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, pi tapes, thermometers, tape measures, scales, load cells, etc.
- Should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have the ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities
- Must have basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows software (Excel, Word, etc.)
This position is in a manufacturing facility requiring prolonged standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending, and reaching throughout an entire ten-hour or eight-hour shift. Must be able to move and handle various-sized products in bags and/or boxes in a dirty, dusty, noisy environment. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Safety Glasses are to be worn at all times when on the production floor
- Safety Shoes to be worn at all times when on the production floor
- Must wear appropriate PPE for all work activities performed; varies based on work
