About the Internship

We are seeking Business Development Interns to support outreach efforts related to grant and funding opportunities available to schools, libraries, and community organizations. This is not a traditional sales role; intern responsibilities focus on educational outreach and appointment setting, helping organizations connect with our internal team to learn how grant programs work and how they may qualify for funding and support.

The internship is structured to prioritize learning, mentorship, and exposure to grant‑funded programs rather than revenue generation.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct outbound phone outreach to schools, libraries, and eligible organizations.
  • Introduce grant and funding opportunities in clear, simple terms.
  • Identify interest and basic eligibility.
  • Schedule informational calls or meetings for senior team members.
  • Maintain accurate call notes and appointment records.
  • Represent the organization professionally and respectfully.
What This Role Is (and Is Not)
  • Educational outreach
  • Appointment setting
  • Relationship‑building
  • Exposure to grant‑funded programs
Ideal Candidate
  • Currently enrolled student or recent graduate.
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
  • Interest in public funding, education, nonprofits, or business development.
  • Able to commit 20 hours per week for the full internship term.
What You’ll Gain
  • Hands‑on experience in outreach and business development.
  • Exposure to grant‑funded programs and public‑sector partnerships.
  • Internship completion letter for academic credit.
  • $1,000 stipend upon successful completion.
