Pay: $3,500 per month, paid biweekly
Classification: Temporary, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Minimum 30 hours per week across at least 5 days

North Shore Strategies is seeking Deputy Field Organizers to support Democratic campaign efforts throughout New York State Senate District 44.
This is a field-based, district-wide position primarily responsible for door-to-door canvassing and direct conversations with voters. Deputy Field Organizers will be assigned to canvass in communities throughout ALL of New York State Senate District 44 and should be prepared to travel to different areas of the district based on program needs. This position is not limited to Schenectady or any single municipality.

Deputy Field Organizers will work alongside campaign and field leadership to carry out voter-contact programs, communicate campaign messages, identify supporters, collect voter feedback, and help campaigns meet daily and weekly organizing goals.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in political organizing and build toward future opportunities as Field Organizers, Regional Organizers, or other campaign staff.
Primary ResponsibilitiesConduct door-to-door canvassing and speak directly with voters
Communicate campaign messages clearly and persuasively
Identify supporters, undecided voters, and voter concerns
Record voter-contact data accurately using campaign technology
Meet assigned daily and weekly door-knocking and voter-contact goals
Participate in daily briefings, trainings, and debriefs
Support field leadership with grassroots organizing activities
Travel throughout New York State Senate District 44 as assigned based on program needs
Represent North Shore Strategies and our clients professionally in the community
Comfortable walking door-to-door and initiating conversations with voters
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work toward measurable goals
Able to canvass outdoors for extended periods and in varying weather conditions
Able to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week across at least 5 days
Comfortable traveling to different communities throughout New York State Senate District 44
Interest in political campaigns, grassroots organizing, or Democratic politics
Prior canvassing, organizing, sales, customer service, or community engagement experience is a plus, but not required
