RN Weekend Supervisor

Schenectady Center is seeking an experienced RN Weekend Supervisor to lead and coordinate clinical care for our skilled nursing and rehabilitation residents. In this leadership role, you will oversee weekend nursing operations, provide direct patient care, support staff, and ensure adherence to care plans, regulatory standards, and infection control protocols. You will mentor nursing staff, participate in care planning, communicate with families and providers, and respond to clinical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise weekend nursing staff and coordinate unit workflow
• Provide direct patient care and oversee implementation of care plans
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes and emergencies
• Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and infection control standards
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Communicate with residents and families regarding care and progress
• Conduct rounds to monitor quality, safety, and resident satisfaction
• Coach, mentor, and support nursing staff performance and development
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely
• Participate in staffing, scheduling, and handoff for weekend shifts
