Certified Nursing Assistant

Schenectady Center seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide hands-on care to residents in our skilled nursing and rehab facility. The CNA will assist with ADLs, mobility, toileting, grooming, and feeding while maintaining resident dignity and comfort. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, observing and reporting changes in condition, supporting therapy and nursing care plans, and accurate documentation. CNAs will promote a safe, clean environment, follow infection control and HIPAA standards, and collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to support resident recovery, comfort, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Support implementation of nursing and therapy care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care provided
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA policies at all times
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Offer emotional support and promote resident dignity and independence
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident transport as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to support resident goals
