Industrial Plumbing Steamfitter

GE Vernova seeks an Industrial Plumbing Steamfitter to install, repair, and maintain high-pressure steam, condensate, and industrial plumbing systems supporting energy and utilities operations. You will read and interpret P&IDs and isometric drawings, layout piping, thread, groove, weld, and braze pipe, and install valves, traps, regulators, and related equipment. Role includes system startup, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance with strict adherence to safety, QA/QC, and environmental standards in a highly collaborative, mission-driven engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain industrial steam, condensate, and plumbing systems for power and utility operations.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and isometric drawings to plan and layout piping systems.
• Cut, thread, groove, weld, and braze pipe; install valves, traps, regulators, gauges, and supports.
• Perform system startups, pressure tests, leak checks, and functional testing of steam and fluid systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment, piping, and control issues and perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other skilled trades on system modifications and upgrades.
• Apply lockout/tagout and other safety procedures; comply with OSHA and site safety standards.
• Document work performed, test results, and material usage in maintenance and asset management systems.
• Support commissioning and retrofit projects for decarbonization and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to high standards of safety, order, and housekeeping.
