Job DescriptionAbout the Opportunity
Our staffing firm is partnering with an established dental practice in Schertz, TX with an excellent reputation in the community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant for a 6-month contract position starting as soon as possible.
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Schedule: Flexible - Part-time or Full-time available
Hours: 20-50 hours per week (based on your availability)
Location: Schertz, TX
Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Perform front office duties as needed including scheduling and patient communication
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
Experience Level (one of the following):
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience, OR
Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Professional, friendly demeanor with patients of all ages
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred but Not
Required:
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
Experience with dental practice management software
