This role offers an opportunity to deliver comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings, including rehabilitation, surgical, and respiratory units. Nurses will engage with a dynamic patient census, requiring adaptability and clinical acumen to manage a range of patient needs effectively.
Responsibilities include providing nursing care consistent with ANA standards, utilizing the nursing process-assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation-for assigned patients. The nurse will administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor patient responses, and maintain accurate documentation. Additionally, this position demands attention to psychological, emotional, cultural, and social patient needs, along with patient and family education.
Key Qualifications & Desired
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in telemetry or related specialty ideal
- Valid TX RN license or compact licensure required
- BLS certification (AHA only) mandatory
- Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
- Experience with trach/vent, high-flow oxygen therapies, and rehab nursing recommended but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and independent practice capabilities
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
