Purpose:
The Director, Strategic Account is responsible for the overall management, growth, and strategic oversight of one of the Company’s largest national accounts. This role serves as the primary relationship owner for the assigned enterprise client and leads a dedicated team of Account Executives supporting that account. The Director drives revenue growth, retention, and expansion within the account through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and hands‑on client engagement.
Essential Job Functions: The Director, Strategic Account must be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Responsible for achieving assigned Net Revenue Budget targets within the designated strategic account. Serve as the primary executive relationship owner for the assigned national account, maintaining and expanding relationships with key corporate stakeholders and influencers. Identify and execute strategic growth initiatives within the assigned account, including new program expansion, cross‑selling, and performance optimization opportunities.
Present solutions and products effectively to executive stakeholders and dealership decision‑makers. - Collaborate with internal partners (Operations, Finance, Marketing) to ensure alignment and successful program execution within the assigned account.
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance oversight for Account Executives dedicated to servicing and growing the assigned national account. Conduct monthly 1:1 business reviews with Account Executives to assess performance and coach for success.
- Monitor account‑level revenue performance, pipeline activity, retention, and growth metrics to ensure achievement of account‑specific financial objectives. Use Spiro
, DOMO and Map My Customer tools to manage sales activities and monitor team performance. - Partner with HR and Sales Leadership on hiring, development, and performance management of Account Executives supporting the assigned account.
- Travel up to 75%, including overnight travel, to support client engagement and team development.
- Attend key account business reviews.
- Travel with Account Executives as needed to support coaching, relationship management, and strategic initiatives. Manage team travel schedules to ensure alignment with 75% travel requirement.

Analyze account performance, competitive positioning, and industry trends to proactively identify growth, retention, and risk mitigation opportunities. Drive strategic account expansion initiatives within the assigned client portfolio. Ensure a healthy pipeline of growth initiatives within the assigned national account to meet revenue objectives.
Education & Experience:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive sales or account management experience, including ownership of large or enterprise-level accounts. Proven experience in a leadership role

Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong experience with CRM platforms for performance tracking and business development.
- Supervise Account Executives dedicated to the assigned national account, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions as needed. Assign tasks, provide ongoing support, and ensure timely execution of strategic objectives.
