Service Sprinkler Fitter - 669 Union
Sprinkler Fitters are pipe fitting specialists in the fire protection industry and Western States Fire Protection is seeking qualified applicants for this position.
Job Responsibilities- Install, repair and maintain all types of fixed extinguishing systems, including underground piping
- Troubleshoot and repair wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems
- Troubleshoot dry sprinkler air compressors
- Tenant improvement remodel work including adding and relocating sprinklers
- Sprinkler system pipe changes outs
- Responsible for installing and servicing a variety of other fire protection equipment such as standpipes, foam systems and other systems.
- Travel within the states of Texas to work on various locations/job sites as necessary
- Comply with union collective bargaining agreement
- Must become a member of the UA Local Union 669 Road Sprinkle Fitters
- Texas RME-I license preferred
- Service experience preferred
- Strong communication skills preferred
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma OR GED required
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willing to lift up to at least 50 pounds
- Willing to climb ladders
- Strong mechanical background is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; if applicable
