About the position of HR Manager Operations & TransformationOperationally strong HR Manager who brings structure and control to a complex production environment
For our organisation, we are looking for an HR Manager Netherlands who will further shape and execute HR policy with connection and determination. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for HR within the Netherlands. You will act as a discussion partner for the Board, management, the Works Council and other stakeholders. In addition, you will lead the HR team consisting of Recruitment, L&D, Compensation & Benefits, Travel, HR Support, HR Business Partners and Payroll, and you will be responsible for the implementation of the HR strategy.
You will be part of Huisman’s international HR community, where you will act as a sparring partner for HR Managers at other locations, such as China, the Czech Republic and the service locations. In addition, you will actively participate in global HR initiatives and projects, such as succession planning and global reporting.
The organisation in Schiedam consists of approximately 600 employees, supplemented by a flexible workforce. The role is characterised by the need to introduce further structure into HR processes, increase predictability and strengthen control over workforce deployment, costs and compliance.
You will work within a family-owned company with a dynamic and versatile structure. As the Board and the Netherlands Management Team are located at the same site, strategic and operational matters regularly overlap. This requires strong prioritisation skills and the ability to switch between different levels within the organisation.
As HR Manager, you are responsible for the positioning of HR within Huisman and for creating support for this within HR and across Huisman. You will be a member of the local management team.
The emphasis of this role is on a combination of strategic leadership and operational management. Your main responsibilities are:
- Leading and further professionalising the HR team (~20 FTE)
- Seeking collaboration and alignment with the HR teams at the international locations of the Huisman Group
- Structuring and standardising HR processes and personnel administration
- Creating insight and management information based on HR data and KPIs (FTE, absenteeism, costs, temporary workforce)
- Gaining control over external hiring (numbers, costs, contract types, compliance)
- Updating and safeguarding HR policies and internal controls
- Strengthening the connection between HR and production, planning and engineering
- Further developing the HR function into a scalable and data-driven operation
This role explicitly requires someone who not only advises, but above all structures, implements and safeguards. You are a people-oriented HR Manager who easily builds connections, whilst also standing firm when required. You are decisive and aware of the different interests and needs within the organisation, but you are not led entirely by them.
In addition, you have at least a completed relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree, more than 8 years of experience within an HR department and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR leadership position.
