Monarch Technical Search is a leading staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in placing highly skilled professionals in the manufacturing and engineering industries. We are currently seeking a 1st Shift CNC Lathe Machinist for our client in Schiller Park, Illinois.

Position Overview:

As a 1st Shift CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality precision parts. You will work with a variety of materials, including metals and plastics, to create components for various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto the machine
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC lathe machines
• Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
