The Business Development Representative (BDR) drives our company's growth by acquiring new customers and expanding our market presence. This inside sales role will focus on lead generation, qualification, and conversion, working closely with our existing sales team to achieve revenue targets focused on the small sized customer segments throughout the United States. The BDR is responsible for achieving weekly set performance targets or KPIs.
EssentialFunctions And Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Cultivation:
- Manage and follow up on leads provided by the company.
- Engage in outbound calling to initiate contact with prospects.
- Independently identify and generate new leads through research, networking, and outbound calls/emails.
- Qualify leads and set up meetings with potential customers and experienced sales executives.
Customer Acquisition:
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers.
- Qualify leads and schedule appointments for sales team members.
- Understand customer needs and present appropriate flexible packaging solutions.
- Close sales and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and acquisition targets.
Sales Process Execution:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and team members to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
- Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams based on customer interactions and market insights.
Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Provide ongoing support to clients to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.
- Represent the ePac brand in a positive manner.
Non-essential Functions And Responsibilities:
- Participating in partnership and problem solving sessions, as well as product line trials with existing/new customers.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, communicate sales targets and objectives, and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills: ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions; proactive problem‑solving approach; disciplined, structured work style.
- Customer relationship management: building and maintaining strong relationships; understanding customer needs and providing exceptional service.
- Technology proficiency: proficiency in using software systems and other tools to streamline sales processes, track performance, and analyze data.
- Adaptability and resilience: ability to adapt to changing market conditions, overcome obstacles, and remain resilient in the face of setbacks.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills are a must.
- High energy environment with an aggressive expansion plan.
