Scientist/ Senior Scientist - Downstream Processing (80-100%)
Job Description
To strengthen our CMC group and advance additional DARPins from research into clinical development, we are seeking an experienced Scientist / Senior Scientist in Downstream Processing. In this role, you will work closely with a team of talented scientists and engineers to develop robust, scalable downstream processes for DARPins, as well as conjugation strategies for DARPin-chelator conjugates used in our innovative Radio-DARPins.
You will lead the transfer of these processes to Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) for GMP production. Further, you will contribute to the production and analysis of high-purity protein material for both internal and external studies.
For this dynamic and multifaceted role, we seek a highly motivated professional with a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field. You should bring a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in downstream processing, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. Experience working in a GMP environment and/or involvement in technology transfer projects will be considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities- Develop robust, scalable downstream processes for DARPins.
- Contribute to conjugation strategies for DARPin-chelator conjugates used in Radio-DARPins.
- Lead the transfer of processes to CDMOs for GMP production.
- Contribute to the production and analysis of high-purity protein material for internal and external studies.
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in downstream processing.
- Deep expertise in protein purification and protein chemistry.
- Experience in GMP environment and/or technology transfer projects is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Hands-on experience with relevant analytical methods.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of independent work; collaborative in multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
