Duties
Provide individual and group therapy, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy.
Screen and interview patients, perform bio-psychological social evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.
Provide evidence-based psychological assessments focusing on the interplay between physical health and mental well-being (e.g., chronic pain, oncology, sleep disorders, and cardiovascular health).
Evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts, and institute changes to increase effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.
Act as a primary consultant for medical providers to optimize patient outcomes through integrated treatment plans.
Maintain timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record ensuring compliance with DHA, regulatory, and billing standards.
Present cases and provide training on evidence based methods to peers.
