Duties
* Serve as Supervisory Case Manager with independent problem-solving skills to manage care for the Army's most complex wounded and ill Armed Forces Service Members to achieve the optimal recovery and transition.
* Supervise military and civilian Nurse Case Managers and other supporting staff.
* Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of the section member.
* Improve production or increase the quality of work produced.
* Drive strategies to resolve complex healthcare challenges for Soldiers in Transition, facilitating a seamless return to duty or transition to medical separation.
* Provide specific guidance to associates based on general operating policies and regulations.
* Resolve unusual or unprecedented medical care problems; reviewing work for compliance with the Army Recovery Care Program (ARCP) policies and objectives. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* A Personnel Security Investigation is required
* This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. Applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
* Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
* All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).
* Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
* A pre-placement medical examination is required.
* This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
* Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
* Applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse.
* The applicant/selectee for this position is subject to pre-employment credentialing of DA Health Care Provider which requires credentials review verification and documentation IAW AR 690-300, Interim Change No. 108, dated 1 Nov 85.
* Must maintain HIPAA training and compliance.
* This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
* This position is designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent may be required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
* This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
* This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
