C-UAS Training and Exercise Planner
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a C-UAS Training and Exercise Planner to support T2
COM, DEVCOM, C5
ISR Center in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) and its mission to counter evolving unmanned aircraft system (UAS) threats across the Indo-Pacific region.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and refine combatant command-level planning products supporting C-UAS operations and ongoing USINDOPACOM objectives.
- Rapidly develop Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and supporting planning products for complex C-UAS missions and operational requirements.
- Develop concise executive-level talking points, briefing materials, and decision-support products for senior leaders.
- Coordinate with joint forces, partner nations, interagency organizations, and other stakeholders to synchronize C-UAS activities and initiatives.
- Respond to complex Requests for Information (RFIs) from senior military leadership with clear, analytical, and actionable assessments.
- Participate in meetings with the Joint Staff, Service Components, Program Offices, and other stakeholders to assess and improve C-UAS tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Provide real-time, analytics-driven planning recommendations to commanders during operations and exercises involving UAS threats to military installations, dismounted forces, and critical infrastructure.
- Analyze after-action reports, operational data, and C-UAS engagements to identify trends, lessons learned, capability gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and continuously update Partner Nation Laydown products using PowerPoint, Maven, and other operational information systems.
- Advise senior leaders on partner integration, interoperability, capability gaps, and opportunities to strengthen combined C-UAS posture.
- When requested, support Service-level acquisition and research and development discussions related to C-UAS capabilities and technology modernization.
- Support Crisis Action Team (CAT) operations within the Joint Operations Center (JOC) and Focus Point Operations Center (FPOC), as required.
- Contribute to emergency action planning, operational planning teams (OPTs), working groups, planning sessions, and General Officer/Flag Officer-level briefings.
- Support and participate in select C-UAS demonstrations, training events, and joint exercises, typically 1–4 events annually.
- Apply lessons learned from training and exercises to improve C-UAS readiness, interoperability, and operational effectiveness across the theater.
Qualifications:
Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- BA/BS with 6 years of related experience; or AA/AS and 8 years of related experience; or HS/GED and 10+ years of related experience.
- Prior Combatant Command experience in military planning, C-UAS operations, or force protection, preferably in a joint or combatant command environment.
- Familiarity with USINDOPACOM's AOR, including its cultural, geopolitical, and operational dynamics.
- Practical knowledge of C-UAS technologies and operational staff tools (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Maven, C2IE).
- Demonstrated experience in joint operations or interagency coordination.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the JTS and JPP.
- Strong written, analytical, and problem-solving skills to concentrate complex situations into actionable and easily understood plans.
- Excellent communication skills for briefing senior leaders and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the C-UAS enterprise.
- Proficiency in operational planning frameworks, such as the Joint Planning Process (JPP), the Joint Training System (JTS), and Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, dynamic environments.
