Cargill seeks a LAN Administrator to manage and optimize secure, high-availability networks across its manufacturing operations. In this role, you will configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks, ensuring reliable connectivity for production and office systems. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security best practices to protect critical data and industrial assets. Working in Cargill's culture of integrity, safety, and inclusive growth, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable network solutions that support global food security and sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and optimize LAN infrastructure across manufacturing facilities
- Configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security for production and office systems
- Troubleshoot network issues, outages, and connectivity problems
- Implement network security policies, VLANs, and access controls
- Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and network documentation
- Support server and endpoint connectivity for OT and IT environments
- Coordinate with vendors and cross functional teams on network projects
- Monitor network capacity, plan upgrades, and support expansion initiatives
- Maintain compliance with Cargill security and safety standards
