Job Description
*** There are 3 Speech & Language Therapist positions available
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Special Education ESY Speech and Language Pathologist’s primary responsibility is to work with students on their IEP communication and language goals in order to prevent substantial regression and promote student achievement. The SLP provides direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and implement evidence-based interventions appropriate for individual students and/or groups of students based on their individual needs.
- Adapt materials to assist students with disabilities to access the curriculum.
- Implement instruction and interventions to work on students’ IEP goals in the area of speech and language.
- Make data-driven instructional decisions to improve student outcomes.
- Collect data on student performance to improve student outcomes and direct instruction.
- Monitor student progress and complete a progress report for each student.
- Communicate with parents and other appropriate school personnel if needed.
- Take student attendance for each class or session.
- Adhere to established rules, regulations, laws and appropriate ethical standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.
QUALIFICATIONS
- REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Massachusetts license as Speech and Language Pathologist
- A minimum of two years’ successful experience as an SLP
- Expertise with specially designed instruction in the field of communication and social pragmatics
- Knowledge of the requirements of state and federal regulations.
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:
- Master’s Degree
- A minimum of two years’ successful experience as an SLP in a public school setting at the assigned level.
TERMS: Part-time, Summer 2026, Pay is $53.87 per hour or based on individual vendor contract (non-employee).

Job Requirements- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
