Inly School is an independent PreK–8 Montessori-plus School located in Scituate, MA that serves over 300 students from 20 South Shore towns and is deeply rooted in Montessori, child-centered, and inclusive educational practices. Position Overview

Inly School seeks warm, patient, and collaborative Toddler House Summer Teachers to support our Montessori Toddler summer program serving children ages 18 months–3 years. This is a full-time seasonal position running from June 15 through August 21, 2026.

The Toddler Teacher plays an essential role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where toddlers can develop independence, language, coordination, and social-emotional skills. Our summer program maintains the core values of the Montessori Toddler environment while embracing the unique rhythm of summer. Days are filled with play-based learning, hands‑on exploration, and abundant outdoor time.

The Toddler House Summer Teacher works as part of a teaching team to support the daily functioning of the classroom and outdoor learning environments. This role includes guiding classroom routines, supporting toddler care needs, maintaining engaging play spaces, and helping create a calm and joyful summer atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily rhythm of the toddler classroom and outdoor play spaces
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging environment
  • Support care routines including toileting, diapering, meals, rest, and transitions
  • Foster emotional safety, communication, and early language development
  • Observe children and collaborate with team members to support individual needs
  • Guide play‑based learning, including outdoor exploration and sensory experiences
  • Supervise children during all parts of the day, including arrivals, dismissals, and transitions
  • Collaborate with the teaching team while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to school expectations
Qualities of an Ideal Candidate
  • A genuine interest in working with toddlers and supporting early childhood development
  • Experience working with children ages 18 months–3 years preferred
  • Montessori experience or training preferred (or an openness to learn)
  • A love for outdoor play, sensory exploration, and hands‑on learning
  • Sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity and a commitment to inclusive practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
Salary and Benefits

Inly School offers competitive pay and benefits. The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
