Grizzly Roofing, a Nations Roof Company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Senior Superintendent to oversee field operations on commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through project completion. This position is responsible for planning ahead, coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and schedules, while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Based out of our Scott, Louisiana office, this position requires regional travel to project sites throughout the service area.

Primary Responsibilities:The Commercial Roofing Senior Superintendent, under the direction of the Operations Manager (or other direct report listed above) is responsible for the successful execution of commercial roofing projects while providing leadership and support across field operations. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, Project Managers, Estimators, subcontractors, and field teams and provides mentorship and guidance to Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field personnel to promote safety, quality, operational consistency, and professional development.
SpecificJob Duties:
Leadership and Supervision
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Assistant Superintendents, roofing foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel while serving as a resource and mentor to other Superintendents.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated Superintendent role with a commercial roofing contractor.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, discipline, and professionalism.
- Mentor and develop field leadership personnel to improve operational effectiveness and prepare future leaders.
- Assist Operations Management with performance evaluations, coaching, training plans, and personnel development.
- Address escalated performance issues, complaints, and disciplinary matters promptly and effectively.
- Promote consistency in field operations, safety compliance, quality standards, and project documentation.
- Conduct and participate in safety audits, equipment inspections, and field reviews.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with all Nations Roof standards, safety requirements, and documentation expectations.
- Directly manage assigned commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Assist Project Managers and Operations leadership with project planning, staffing, sequencing, and execution strategies.
- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules to identify potential risks, constructability concerns, and project challenges.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and field personnel to ensure proper execution and sequencing of work.
- Support Superintendents in resolving complex field conditions, scheduling conflicts, labor challenges, and customer concerns.
- Monitor labor productivity, project performance, and field execution to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with manpower planning and resource allocation across projects.
- Perform or delegate site take-offs and ensure accurate project information is provided to Estimating in a timely manner.
- Track labor and crew performance against project goals and budgets.
- Order and track materials, minimize waste, and manage delivery schedules to support project timelines.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contract requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
- Review project startup plans and lead project closeout activities.
- Notify Operations Management and Project Management immediately when significant project risks, scope discrepancies, or execution challenges are identified.
- Represent Nations Roof professionally during customer meetings, project reviews, pre-construction meetings, site visits, inspections, and project walkthroughs.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, property managers, consultants, general contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Conduct roof inspections, site assessments, and field investigations to gather accurate project information.
- Collect measurements, photographs, observations, access requirements, safety considerations, and logistical constraints needed for estimating and project planning.
