As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your skills and experience to help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here, you’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll sharpen your skills in analytical exploration and data examination while you support the assessment, design, developing, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

** You Have:
*** 4+ years of experience in a professional work environment
* Experience using programming languages such as Python, R, or Java to develop and maintain scalable data stores and scripts and programs to make data usable
* Experience retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data and working with ETL workflows for reporting and analytics
* Knowledge ofdata engineering tools such SQL, Spark, Kafka, and cloud environment tools within AWS or Azure
* Ability towork collaboratively in a cross-functional team
* Secret clearance
* HS diploma or GED
** Nice If You Have:
*** Experience supporting DoW or federal agencies, including analytic support
* Experience working in a cloud environment to develop applications with real-time data migration or streaming
* Experience with data warehousing, distributed data tools such as Databricks, and DoW analytic tools such as Advana and Maven Smart Systems
* Experience supervising teams or leading projects
* Knowledge of Agile engineering practices
* Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communicating effectively to leadership
* TS/SCI clearance
* Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a similar field

** Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
