Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee general ledger activities, lead month-end close, and prepare accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical ability, and consistent collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Success in this position depends heavily on three core capabilities:

• Professional fluency in Spanish
• Hands-on experience with Net Suite
• Proven ability to use AI workflows and automation to improve accounting processes

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare financial statements and provide financial analysis to leadership.

Spanish-Language Collaboration

• Work closely with Spanish-speaking internal teams and Mexico-based counterparts to resolve accounting issues, review financial information, and support day-to-day communication.
• Serve as a reliable liaison for bilingual financial and operational discussions.
• Spanish proficiency is essential for success in this role.

Net Suite System Expertise

• Use Net Suite to manage accounting operations, support reporting, and maintain financial data integrity.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve system usage and reporting efficiency within Net Suite.
• Strong working knowledge of Net Suite is a key requirement for this position.

AI Workflow and Automation

• Identify, build, and improve AI-driven workflows that streamline accounting and finance processes.
• Use automation tools to enhance reconciliations, reporting, and other recurring accounting tasks.
• Help modernize finance operations by introducing smarter, faster, and more scalable workflow solutions.
• Candidates should have practical experience applying AI and automation in accounting or finance environments.

Journal Entries and Reconciliations

• Prepare and review journal entries.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Improve reconciliation speed and accuracy through process enhancements and automation.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Oversee AP and AR processes, including invoicing and vendor payments.
• Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Compliance and Controls

• Ensure adherence to GAAP and support tax-related activities, including 1099 reporting and applicable state requirements.
• Maintain internal controls and assist with audit preparation and support.

Team Support

• Review the work of junior staff and provide guidance when needed.
• Encourage adoption of improved tools, systems, and AI-enabled processes across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level role.
• Professional working proficiency in Spanish is required.
• Direct experience using Net Suite is required.
• Demonstrated experience building, using, or improving AI workflows and automation processes is required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP; CPA is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close in a deadline-driven environment.
