Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Order Entry specialist to support our growing customer base. This role is responsible for reviewing and accurately processing customer orders in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in data entry & maintenance, ensure data integrity, and collaborate closely with Customer Service, Sales & Operations team to provide exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and enter customer orders in the ERP system with high accuracy.
- Review of orders for pricing and compliance with company policies.
- Verify customer information, shipping account, delivery address.
- Verify customer part number, revision, internal stock codes, special requirements.
- Communicate with Inside Sales Representative regarding problem orders / discrepancies.
- Resolve basic order related issues and elevate complex problems as needed.
- Collaborate with Customer Service Shipping to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate digital records in designated internal systems.
- Follow SOP’s for order processing, documentation, and workflow accuracy.
- Use of ERP/CRM systems to process orders (e.g. Syspro, SAP, SharePoint as needed)
- Import/Export reports and assist with daily, weekly reporting tasks.
- High School diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
- 1-3 years’ experience in order entry, data entry, customer service
- Strong attention to details and high accuracy in data entry
- Strong understanding of order management systems (experience with customer portals SAP, Ariba Business Network & Syspro ERP system is a plus).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Effective Communication skills – both written and verbal
- Additional skills are beneficial
