Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join a growing technology company in Scotts Valley, California. This onsite role offers an exciting opportunity to work with an employee-owned company that designs, manufactures, and sells advanced control solutions for industrial applications, including semiconductor, display, and solar fabrication equipment. Their controllers power billions of dollars of equipment in factories worldwide.
Responsibilities- Conduct functional tests on electronic components, assemblies, or systems to verify performance and reliability.
- Set up and operate test equipment such as volt meters, oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and automated test systems.
- Develop and execute test procedures based on product specifications, engineering drawings, and test plans.
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies to the component level using schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools.
- Document test results, observations, and any deviations from expected performance.
- Assist in the development and improvement of test fixtures, procedures, and test automation scripts.
- Perform minor soldering operations to assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) and test plugs.
- Design and document minor electronics and cable assemblies.
- Maintain and utilize various test equipment, ensure calibration compliance, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all testing activities.
- Associate's degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Electronics Test Technician or similar role in an electronics manufacturing or testing environment; experience with NPI.
- Proficiency in operating electronic test equipment and tools.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and principles.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO standards, is desirable.
Monday to Friday, 1st shift.
