Production Technician - Manufacturing; 3rd Shift

Overview

The Manufacturing Process Technician is responsible for safely manufacturing dietary tablets, capsules, liquids and powders in accordance with product specifications. Responsibilities include setting up, operating, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance on blenders, tablet presses, encapsulators, coating pans, and metal detectors. The Technician must meet specific specifications for tablets, capsules, liquids and powders while maintaining safety, quality, shrink, attainment, and line efficiency.

• Ensure that products meet applicable quality standards, performing compulsory sampling and testing during operations.
• Make mandatory machine adjustments to guarantee smooth line operation for required quality and output.
• Adhere to safety expectations, wearing mandatory personnel protective equipment and following all mandated safe‑practices.
• Collect and analyse data using applied‑math skills.
• Utilise problem‑solving skills to investigate, troubleshoot product issues and recommend solutions.
• Address tableting issues: sticking, capping, chipping, compressibility, disintegration.
• Resolve encapsulation issues: sticking, headroom, capsule shell defects.
• Tackle general issues: machine setup, performance, product assay, documentation.
• Execute recommended solutions, document mandatory changes, and communicate updates.
• Perform calculations and physical improvements to enhance product performance.
• Complete mandatory documentation: ingredient change forms, in‑process deviations, batch‑record corrections, processing forms.
• Perform routine maintenance activities.
• Work outside standard hours and mandatory overtime.
• Utilise hand and power tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills).
• Collaborate in a team environment, mandate mandatory assistance to colleagues.
• Participate in mandatory cross‑training across the facility.
• Mandate mandatory completion of Processor Operation Logs, signed and compliant with mandatory Company Standard and regulatory mandates.
