OverviewSupport the DON in keeping nursing and behavioral health operations running smoothly and effectively. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure each patient receives personalized, holistic care that meets their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
Responsibilities- Anticipate and manage changes in census and acuity, allocating nursing resources based on patient acuity/care needs.
- Model customer service expectations and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.
- Accountable for the standard of care, providing consultation and expertise in care delivery.
- Serve as clinical and service resource to nursing staff and other assigned staff.
- Coordinate patient care between departments and disciplines.
- Evaluate work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service, or maintenance staff for the unit and the facility.
- Analyze situations to identify best solutions to problems.
- Recruit, hire, and train new staff.
- Identify educational needs and develop training programs.
- Assist in developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports to inform management about program status, services, and quality initiatives.
- Plan budgets and authorize expenditures.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

- BSN or higher strongly preferred.
- Current registered nursing license in the state of the facility required.
- Three years as a registered nurse strongly preferred.
- Two years of registered nursing experience required.
- One year of prior experience with the population required.
- Prior experience as a house supervisor strongly preferred.
- One year of charge RN or other administrative experience required.
- Current RN license as required by state.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
