Position: Title 1C Education Service Provider

* This position will cover the counties of: SCOTTS BLUFF, BANNER, CHEYENNE, DEUEL, GARDEN, KIMBALL AND MORRILL


* Office Location to be determined by where employee is located - can be located out of any of the counties mentioned. If location close to one of our offices in Scottsbluff or Sidney will be located out of one of those offices.

The Title I, Part C Education Program is a federally funded program that provides educational services for migrant children to help reduce obstacles that result from repeated moved across school district boundaries. All Title IC services are based on the individual needs of the migratory children that it serves. The word migrant refers to the mobility of an individual or family.

Job Title: Title 1C Education Service Provider

Department: Title 1C Education

Education Level and Certification: High School Diploma or GED. At all-times maintain a valid drivers' license. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Reports To: ESU 13 Title 1C Education Project Coordinator

Terms of Employment: Schedule 6 / Full-time 240 days / Full Benefits

Performance Responsibilities and Job Tasks

The primary responsibility of the Title 1C Education Service Provider is to work with schools to support qualified students in their education, provide educational resources and educational advocacy, as well as guide parents of qualified students through the educational process.

Remain current on all federal and state guidance around Title 1C Education Program and participate in relevant professional development.

Establish and maintain a supportive relationship with the families.

Provide support services to students/families that are designed to enhance the Title 1C child's success at school, such as educational materials, referrals to community resources, etc.

Collaborate regularly with school staff on Title 1C students' academic needs, homework assignments, missing work, and plan for success.

Assist the most at-risk Title 1C students in the classrooms in the service area schools.

Provide after-school tutoring or homework support.

Assist in communication with parents and schools regularly.

Promote and facilitate attendance at the after school/summer school programs for the Title 1C Program and school-sponsored events.

At all times maintain a valid drivers' license for safe transportation of students for Title 1C sponsored events.

Assist Title 1C students in preschool enrollment.

Provide in-home literacy activities for families with young children.

Provide mentoring and goal setting for high school, middle school, and out of school youth.

Participate in ESU 13 staff in-services (4 days per year) and weekly ESU 13 Title 1C team Zoom meetings along with other mandatory state meetings assigned by Supervisor.

Identify and refer potential new families to the Title 1C recruiter.

To effectively complete all forms and paperwork required for the position. These may include but are not limited to...

Track time and mileage on a cell phone app provided by the program.

Timesheets submitted to the supervisor.

Service Logs (Documenting services provided to students and families)

Google sheets with student data.

Requires ability to travel on a regional, state and national level.

Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.

Comply with the ESU 13 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.

To perform other duties as assigned.

At-Will Position. This position is an "at-will" position and may be terminated, with or without cause, at any time in the sole discretion of the ESU 13 Administrator or ESU 13 Administrator's designee.

Essential Functions: The essential functions of the Title 1C Education Service Provider position include: (1) regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge, skills, and abilities and to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the following identified physical requirements.
