The Autonomous Vehicle Testing and Integration Specialist will work closely with engineering, fabrication, electrical, and software teams to help ensure autonomous vehicles are assembled, tested, and operating as intended.
Work Environment:
This position is based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and may require working in shop, yard, and outdoor environments( customer or test sites) in varying weather conditions. The role may involve standing for long periods, climbing on and off equipment, lifting parts and tools, and working around moving vehicles and heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with integration of autonomous vehicle systems, components, sensors, wiring, and related hardware
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Perform inspections, functional checks, and test procedures on vehicles and subsystems
- Document test results, issues, failures, repairs, and system performance
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software-related issues
- Support commissioning, setup, and field testing of autonomous vehicles
- Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and controlled manner
- Follow all company safety procedures, testing protocols, and work instructions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support development and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe condition
- Travel as needed to support testing, deployment, and service activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Clean background check
- Ability to work 10-hour days, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
- Ability to follow written procedures, test instructions, and safety requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy vehicle components and equipment
- 2-year technical degree preferred
- Experience working with vehicles, heavy equipment, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, or automation systems
- Familiarity with testing, diagnostics, and integration of mechanical or electrical components
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments
- Basic computer skills for documentation, reporting, and communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Ability to adapt in a fast-changing technical environment
