About the Role:

The Lead Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of surgical instruments and medical equipment used in patient care. This position is responsible for overseeing the sterilization process, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The Lead Technician will lead a team of sterile processing staff, providing training and guidance to ensure all procedures are followed meticulously.

Additionally, this role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to assess and improve sterilization protocols. Ultimately, the Lead Sterile Processing Technician contributes significantly to patient safety and the overall quality of care provided by the healthcare facility.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in sterile processing, with 1 year in a supervisory role.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the sterile processing department.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and stored according to established protocols.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices in sterile processing and infection control.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to assess instrument needs and improve workflow efficiency.
