Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied 4x10 schedule (4x10); specific start/end times vary by assignment—rotating days/evenings (times assigned by facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently during procedures
• Prepare the operating room and sterile field so the team can focus on the patient
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs by understanding the procedure and staying one step ahead
• Assist with instrument management, counts, and turnover between cases
• Maintain strict infection control and sterile technique to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, nurses, and techs to keep cases running smoothly
• Demonstrate professional performance; meet facility expectations for quality and reliability

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required)
• Previous travel healthcare experience required — please do not submit first-time travelers
• Strong perioperative experience with instrument handling and supplies/equipment management
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and work calmly under pressure
• Willingness to meet Regional West performance expectations; contracts may be terminated for poor performance
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or obtained upon hire if required by the facility

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program

• Proven instrument handling and perioperative assistance skills
• Understanding of common surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Ability to manage supplies, instrument counts, and OR equipment
• Good communication and teamwork in a fast-paced OR environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
