Position Summary:

All positions of PPHD will work to support the PPHD mission of "Working together to improve the health, safety, and quality of life for all who live, learn, work and play in the Panhandle." This position will support the implementation of PPHD strategic plan objectives through collaboration with partners and the community, a commitment to Community Health Improvement, dedication to implementing evidence-based practices, and implementation of the standards and measures of PHAB accreditation.

Duties:

The Mobile Unit Operations Coordinator will perform the following essential functions within the framework of Panhandle Public Health District’s provision of the core functions and essential services of public health:

Coordinate day-to-day operations and logistical needs of the Maternal & Family Health Mobile Unit to support reliable and efficient service delivery across the Nebraska Panhandle.

Maintain and coordinate the mobile unit deployment calendar, including service locations, staff schedules, travel logistics, setup needs, and communication with participating staff and community partners.

Help ensure mobile unit operations follow approved policies, procedures, workflows, safety practices, confidentiality requirements, and program protocols; identify operational concerns and communicate needed follow-up to leadership.

Develop, maintain, and use operational checklists and readiness processes for pre-deployment, service-day, and post-deployment activities.

Manage routine inventory of clinical and non-clinical supplies; coordinate ordering, receiving, stocking, rotation, and restocking to ensure needed materials are available for scheduled services.

Assist clinical providers with patient care, service delivery, and other support activities as appropriate.

Monitor equipment, technology, utilities, and general mobile unit readiness; coordinate maintenance, repairs, cleaning, inspections, and service needs with appropriate staff, vendors, or contractors.

Coordinate site logistics with community partners, including parking/location needs, access, power or connectivity needs when applicable, arrival and departure expectations, and other operational details.

Maintain mobile unit documentation and tracking systems, including schedules, inventory, maintenance records, operational logs, service locations, and other required program records.

Support consistent use of mobile unit workflows, forms, technology, and operational systems and assist with troubleshooting routine logistical or workflow issues.

Assist with onboarding and orientation of staff assigned to the mobile unit regarding operational procedures, unit readiness, safety expectations, equipment location, and established workflows.

Participate in planning and continuous quality improvement activities to identify operational efficiencies, address barriers, and strengthen mobile service delivery.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with PPHD staff, healthcare partners, community organizations, host sites, vendors, and other partners involved in mobile unit operations.

Support community outreach and mobile unit events as needed, including setup, breakdown, flow, materials, and general coordination.

Maintain appropriate security and confidentiality of supplies, equipment, records, and information while the unit is in transit, in operation, and secured between deployments.

Operate PPHD vehicles and/or the mobile unit when assigned, appropriately trained, and authorized, and follow all PPHD vehicle and transportation policies.

Actively participate in Performance Management and Quality Improvement activities.

Participates in PPHD and community emergency response training and drills in support of public health emergency and disaster preparedness.

Contribute to and participate in the implementation of the strategic plan as assigned.

Contribute to development of program goals and objectives.

Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development by pursuing education, participating in professional committees and work groups and contributing to a work environment where continual improvements in practice are pursued.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
